Matthew Matt James is a North Carolina native born on 5 December 1991. James is the son of Manny and Patty James and is of mixed race. The father of Manny James is Nigerian while his mom is is a caucasian American. In 2010 he graduated of Sanderson High School and furthered to Wake Forest University where he received a Bachelor's degree from Economics in 2015. James became famous when the show The Bachelorette as a reality television star. James was selected in the year 2020 as the new bachelor for The Bachelor season 25, becoming the show's debut African American male star. The series premiered later that year. James was the ideal fit to play the role. He is beautiful and tall with a an innate sense of humor. Rachael krkconnell was chosen as his partner for the entire season. In the 30th season (in 2021) of Dancing with the Stars, James competed alongside the famous dancing star Arnold. James as well as Arnold finished 12th place.
