Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actor who is employed in TV and film is best known for films such as Rush and Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. The actress was born as the sole child of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. When she was 16, Alexandra played the leading character in various dramas on television. Her critically-acclaimed performance in the television film Der Tunnel paved way for other notable roles including Secretary to Adolf Hitler Traudl Junge from the critically and commercially successful Oscar nominated historical war film Downfall.
